Scope and Overview

The IEEE International Conference on Recent Advances in Systems Science and Engineering 2026 (RASSE 2026) will host a forum for PhD students, Master students, and undergraduate students engaged in research to highlight their innovative ideas and ongoing research. The forum offers a great opportunity for PhD students, Master’s students, undergraduate researchers, and new PhDs to present to a broad audience in the system science and engineering community from both industry and academia. Participants with interdisciplinary work are particularly welcome.

Undergraduate Eligibility

  • Individuals who have finished their PhD theses within the last 12 months

  • Current PhD Students

  • Master's Students

  • Undergraduate Researchers 

Benefits

  • A poster presentation at the Student Forum

  • A maximum of five Best Student Paper Awards will be presented. Each awardee will receive a Certificate and an honorarium of $250 USD. If there are multiple eligible co-authors, the honorarium will be equally shared.

  • Student Forum Award papers will be recommended for publication in IEEE J-MASS.

  • Professional contacts from industry and academia

  • 1 Free conference registration

Submission Guidelines

Each PhD proposal must include the following information: 

  1. Full contact information including affiliation and email

  2. A 2 - 3 page paper describing the novelties and advantages of the research work and preliminary results in the IEEE 2-column format

  3. Include research ideas and work done, including results and discussions.  

  4. For your convenience, the Style Manual and Conference Paper Templates from IEEE in various formats are linked here.  Please refer to both of these when preparing your submission to the Student Forum.

All submissions will be single-blind reviewed and submitted electronically through the online submission portal
